Rundraising report 2015
During 2015, we have successfully endorsed the projects in Uganda for 66.000 Euros, in Afghanistan for 5.700 Euros, in Togo for 5.005 Euros and in India for 1.120 Euros for the child-sponsorships.
Small great steps reached thanks to you. Giulan de cör.
With 34.000 Euros we have supported the activity in Karamoja in favour of 540 beneficiaries between students and farmers, by distributing seeds and plants, holding environmental and agricultural education classes, by building a stock room for the Demonstration Primary School and buying and installing a glasshouse for a climate independent cultivation of vegetables. Karamoja is living an emergency situation of starvation, after sudden six months of dry season which have burnt the whole harvest. This makes us believe even more in the glasshouse cultivation project. Let’s bring it on together!
32.000 Euros have endorsed the activity of the Ssezibwa Demonstration Farm in Mukono, where we have improved its structure by refurbishing the piggery, building toilets and purchasing some machinery as the trailer and the mais sheller. Here the beneficiaries are 150 families. The farm is giving great results; its activity is exemplary for many similar projects locally. The harvest is always great, even more after the installation of four glasshouses where splendid vegetables are grown. But also for its mill, the 800 eggs which it produces and overall for the interchange of know-how for which it stands. It’s only through mutual sharing of our knowledge, that we will be able to evolve and give interdependent support.
What we will be doing 2016? We will implement the glasshouse cultivation in Karamoja, in which we truly believe! We will go on being on the side of Hannington and his staff at the farm, of Sister Patrizia and Maristella for the activity of their school in Amakpapé and of the Afghan women for the goats’ project. We will keep you up to date!
