Reconstruction house n. 13 for 34 children

La ricostruzione di un dormitorio per 34 bambini profughi sorto a Dharmsala, a norma di legge
con servizi, camere da letto, soggiorno e un grande terrazzo è giunta a termine
grazie al Vostro sostegno e grazie al contributo della provincia di Bolzano
che ha sovvenzionato una parte del progetto.

.......The home 13 reconstruction work is now completed and the children started moving in since the past weekend. There is some organization to do by the home parents and the older children. Putting things in place will take some time. As soon as this is done, we will be most delighted to send you a final report and photos with children happily living in this new home.
The financial statement will take a while though, as some payments are yet to be finalized
by the accounts department. The children and home parents are so happy to move in
and have this new living environment.

We are so thankful and grateful to your family and friends for helping us realize this project. Thank you again for the wonderful support!

Nella zona remota dell'Hanley in Ladakh, esiste un villaggio di bimbi profughi tibetani. L'obiettivo è di costruire una stalla ed acquistare mucche che producono latte per i bambini del villaggio.










Dicembre 2008

A causa di una malattia infettiva altamente contagiosa dei ruminanti e dei suini, chiamata afta epizootica, siamo in stand by con questo progetto. I fondi sono arrivati ma per lo sviluppo di questo progetto attendiamo un rapporto per fine estate del 2009.

Purchase of a clinical chemistry analyzer
for the health centre in Dharamsala

...We are very pleased to inform you that we have been able to purchase the "clinical chemistry analyzer" for the lab at the health center in TCV Dharamsala. We attach here a picture of the equipment installed in the lab. We received extra funds from you, so we took the liberty to utilize that to meet the cost of other necessary minor equipments for the x-ray room at the health centre. The x-ray machine had been installed last year but because of the electricity connection procedure, we could not make it functional until March this year.  To make it more effective and less harmful, we had to buy a Floor Model Stand and Protective Lead Screen for protection from harmful radiation, which were not installed with the x-ray machine.  The pictures attached will give you a better idea about these equipments. We are most grateful to you for the support.

When you visit us in June, you will be able to personally see these equipments in use and take photos, if necessary. 

We are most grateful to the Costa Family Foundation for the wonderful support and warm feelings for our children.

Project n. 4 - Da Euro 30.000,00 a Euro 10.000.000,00

Tibetan college

La nostra ambizione è di riuscire a devolvere attraverso la Costa Family Foundation almeno Euro 30.000,00 nel prossimo anno per sostenere il nuovo progetto di cui madame Jetsum Pema e tutti noi crediamo fortemente: la nascita di un college tibetano.

Le ambizioni

C'è un forte bisogno di avere un college. I nostri studenti, in questa loro critica fase di crescita, hanno bisogno di continuità nello studio della nostra lingua e cultura, assieme alle materie di specializzazione da loro scelte. Oltre a ciò, il fine della loro educazione è di crescere come autentici tibetani ed essere adattabili ovunque loro si trovino. Questa è una convinzione nata da una valutazione dei nostri studenti nei vari college indiani. Per questo il college è una necessità per i nostri giovani!

Il college ospiterà inizialmente circa 500 studenti tibetani ed eventualmente poterne ospitare fino a 3000 (dato vincolante in base ai fondi raccolti). In direzione di questo obiettivo, abbiamo già acquistato 37 ettari di terreno nelle vicinanze di Bangalore, nella Silicon Valley dell’India. Che differenza farà?

Ora seguono alcuni esempi di come, il proposto college tibetano, farà la differenza nello scenario dei tibetani in esilio e le possibilità che il college donerà al sistema scolastico, dal livello primario al livello terziario per un potenziale ritorno dei tibetani nel Tibet!

I. 82 scuole tibetane con più di 27.000 studenti
Al momento esistono 82 scuole tibetane in esilio. Ogni anno, in media, 1.000 studenti si diplomano al livello secondario (classe VII). Il TCV da solo diploma 500 studenti al secondo livello. A parte i centri di educazione tradizionale e di tradizione tibetana, noi non abbiamo un singolo college perla grande massa degli studenti. Senza avere un college per noi stessi, molti dei nostri graduati -per forza- frequentano vari college indiani, senza avere la possibilità di porsi domande sull’importanza e la qualità dell’educazione. Da troppo tempo ormai queste cose accadono influenzando in modo negativo gli studenti e il loro futuro. Il college proposto sarà un centro di studio alternativo che farà la differenza nella crescita educazionale e culturale dei tibetani.

II. identità e cultura tibetana
I tibetani possiedono una ricca e unica eredità culturale. Ad oggi, però, una moltitudine di studenti dopo il compimento degli studi a livello secondario, non hanno l’opportunità di continuare a vivere e imparare i vari aspetti della nostra cultura, l’essenza della quale è Buddhismo. Questa situazione non è più sostenibile. Il college riempirà, come inizio, questa mancanza nell’educazione degli studenti.

Il 50 % circa del progetto è già stato sovvenzionato da associazioni e da O.N.L.U.S. internazionali che appoggiano e sostengono, come noi, questo progetto culturale così importante. Abbiamo promesso un importo di almeno Euro 30.000,00 da donare al TCV entro gennaio 2010. Aspettiamo di cuore una Vostra donazione!
