The "Pearl of Africa"

And then, farer down the Nile, spectacular Nile, wide lakes great as the sea, water falls, savanna. There, on the earth and underneath, precious resources and richness.
The wonder of the crowned crane, of the lion, the elephant, de mountain gorillas. Rising the eyes we have the Rwenzori, opposite to it the Mount Elgon. And then, farer down the Nile, spectacular Nile, wide lakes great as the sea, water falls, savanna. There, on the earth and underneath, precious resources and richness.
But one has to dig much deeper, to precipitate… Political uncertainty, dictators, dependence from investors and stranger predators, coming from East as well as from West. And it’s like this that the claim for a right economy and human rights is hard, even if somehow continuous. Every 1.000 Ugandans that we might meet, we have to know that still over 400 of them live in inhuman conditions, sunken in extreme poverty. With their Country, the “Pearl of Africa” as Churchill once named it, these people are in slow rising towards the world.
