A well-organized first aid surgery for Tibetan refugees with doctors, competent staff, nurses, a garden and a residence for Tibetans suffering from tuberculosis.

Project no. 3
Value of the project: € 5,000.00
Project concluded in January 2009
Beneficiary: TCV
Supporters of the project: Chef’s Cup, 2009 edition

Thanks to the money collected during the Chef's Cup Südtirol 2009 gala dinner we could realize our third project by buying a chemical analyser for the analysis of blood, plasma and serum as well as two X-ray units for the surgery.
The X-ray unit was installed by the TCV in 2008, but because of problems with the electrical connection at the centre of the TCV, it has only been ready for use since March 2009. Thanks to the donations from the 2009 edition of the Chef’s Cup, the Costa Family Foundation could also buy a floor support and a lead wall for the protection against the harmful X-rays and to make the unit more efficient.
